Spyro and Elora first met when the Professor used a portal to summon a dragon to Avalar. Elora was in awe at the sight of a dragon. However, Spyro's first meeting with Elora and her friends was quickly interrupted by Ripto, who was raging when he found out there was a dragon. After Ripto left, Elora went after him.
Spyro and Elora met again in Summer Forest, where the two properly introduced themselves. Elora also gave Spyro advice on Orbs and Talismans, and gave him a guidebook with details of the homeworlds in Avalar. Elora also opened Ripto's castle for Spyro after he had successfully collected 40 orbs.
